Katherine Webber was born in Southern California in 1987 and has written several popular young adult novels under her maiden name, such as The Revelry and the Twin Crowns series with fellow children’s author Catherine Doyle. She met Kevin Tsang – who was born in Copenhagen but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia – in 2008 whilst studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Together they have penned a number of bestselling children’s series, from the Sam Wu books – which drew on elements of Kevin’s childhood – to Space Blasters and, most famously, the Dragon Realm saga. In 2023, the duo published Infinity’s Secret, the first instalment of a spin-off series from Dragon Realm.
