The annual ‘It’s In Nottingham’ Independent Festival is making a return to the city this Saturday 6 July, thanks to Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID). We’ll be celebrating ol’ Notts’ huge selection of independently owned businesses with free activities and events all over tahn.

Trinity Square is going to be bursting with music, stalls, and fun activities for all the family from 10am - 4pm: you can pedal your way to create a smoothie; make colourful flowers and turn them into jewellery, courtesy of the Bead Shop; get yer hair braided and covered in glitter; and there’ll be so much more…

Elsewhere, at yer fave independent haunts, you can expect special workshops and events all day and (almost) all night. Fancy learning how to Risograph print? The Carousel on Hockley Street has you covered. Ever thought about being a barista? 200 Degrees is doing a brewing bar experience. If you want a party, you got it – Jamcafé have got an open deck event all day, Annie’s is having a street party and Malt Cross have teamed up with Phlexx Records to bring you a day full of local artists, local DJ’s and local breweries.

“Supporting Nottingham’s independent businesses is so important to help our city flourish and to define it from other cities in the area,” said Geoff Williams, director of Nottingham BID.
