Homegrown: A Glimmer of Summer this bank holiday

DHP Family have announced their new Homegrown festival, which will be taking place at the Arboretum this bank holiday Monday (31 August).


In association with BBC MUSIC introducing, you will be able to catch some exclusive performances from the best talent in the East Midlands on the iconic bandstand stage. Local stars include: Rob Green, Georgie, Jerub, Alfie Sharp, Unknown era (acoustic), Mollie Ralph, Chai 6ix, and Adam Peter Smith.

Alongside the new music stage, there will be a fringe stage offering alternative entertainment suited to all the family. As well as delicious pop up food outlets for you to tuck into after a day of dancing and drinking, provided by the Nottingham Street Food. 

The hosts of the festival, DHP, started off 40 years ago opening their famous flagship venue Rock City and since then have expanded into becoming the biggest independent promoters in the UK. Operating award winning festivals and events: Dot to Dot Festival, Splendour, Beat the Streets and Stealth Halloween. It only seems right that the best in the business showcase how live music events can still be carried out safely, with all the correct social distancing measures in place and a trusted decades worth of experience behind them.

Joe Patten, Homegrown’s artist booker, states “Nottingham is a city renowned by its music scene and we’re thrilled to be able showcase some of the best talent the city has to offer in such a beautiful location. It means so much to us that we’ve been able to pull it all together and give the people of Notts at least a taste of outdoor music this summer. The Arboretum is well-loved amongst residents and provides the perfect backdrop to a bill of exciting up and coming acts. This is an event for the whole family to enjoy, with music, fringe entertainment and great food and drinks- what a superb way to spend your bank holiday!”

The festival will take place between 12pm-9pm. All tickets will be £10+booking fee and all under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
