As a creative young person, it can be really tricky to pick a course for your next steps in life. With a wide variety of places to study as well as such a competitive job market, you want to be reassured that you’re picking a place that will give you all the knowledge and experience they need to go forward. Confetti is all about getting you to Do It For Real - they have plenty of industry connections to enable you to learn hands-on from experts in your field.

Past students who’ve had opportunities through Confetti have gone on to do great things, like Miranda Stewart who studied Level 3 Live and Tech Events and helped on the main stage at Splendour while at Confetti. She has since worked as a Stage Manager for Gryff Rhys Jones’ UK tour amongst other exciting opportunities. Alex Williams did work experience at Notts TV, and has since worked for ITV, while Courtney Nettleford also amassed many hours with Notts TV and has since worked as a Researcher at the BBC along with other roles.

Nottingham-based company STENCIL has had many students collaborate with them via Confetti, which has allowed them to add to their portfolios and experience a real-life work environment. Managing Director Andy Afford said, “As an agency, we are committed to offering what we describe as accelerated and meaningful opportunities to young creative types, with our overarching business purpose being to support their development as young executives, every bit as much as designers."

Kate is a second-year Level 3 Graphic Design & Digital student at Confetti, and currently works two days a week with STENCIL, where she has already proven a huge hit. Highlights for her include doing illustration work for clients Challenge-trg and The Professional Cricketers’ Association. Another student, Milly, currently studies the Foundation Degree in Graphic Design at Confetti, and is on a six-month placement with STENCIL. She has already played roles in a recently-completed print project for Oakham School, as well as logo design and illustrated work for builders merchants Frank Key and city restaurants Baresca and Escabeche.
