The Malt Cross are launching their new winter events programme in collaboration with the YMCA as the venue welcomes people back with YMCA Front Room…
YMCA are relocating to the Malt Cross this month under the new name YMCA Front Room, after they saved the iconic grade-II listed building from closure back in 2018. One of the few surviving examples of Victorian music halls in the UK, it was constructed way back in 1877.
A 150 year old regional charity sporting a rich history of delivering events, YMCA Robin Hood Group hold a mission to ensure every young person is empowered to belong, contribute and thrive together in our communities. YMCA promotes healthy living, youth development and social responsibility, through its diverse Gym, Childcare, Youth, Venues and Housing services, providing supported housing and key worker support for homeless people across Nottingham, Mansfield, Worksop, York and East Riding.
Malt Cross and YMCA are joining forces to become a central hub of community activities for the benefit of local people. This new format means the venue will be accessible for a unique programme of ticketed events appealing to all ages and interests, including many free ones. Events will cover a variety of themes, ranging from supper clubs and art classes to live music and the much-anticipated relaunch of the venue’s ever-popular Beer and Carols festive extravaganza.
