Madness C’est La Vie Tour

The Nutty Boys are touring their latest album, their first in seven years, a unique, contemplative commentary on the current landscape of England. The ska and pop band formed in 1976 and are back in Nottingham, boasting hits from their latest album and classics such as Our House, It Must Be Love and House of Fun. They’ll be accompanied by Lightning Seeds, responsible for nineties hits like Life of Riley.

Michael Malay came to England at 21 and loved the greenery that he’d read so extensively about. He began a strong love for naturalism, but became aware of just how much was missing. Late Light tells the stories of four seemingly uncharismatic creatures, and Michael’s ventures into their dwindling worlds. Michael captures how it feels to find pockets of magic and meaning on our doorsteps, and how to sustain our hope for the future. Hear him talk all about it at the famous Five Leaves Bookshop on Thursday evening.

Disney’s famous The Muppet Christmas Carol is being performed with an orchestral soundtrack at the Theatre Royal. Broadway World has called the show ‘The ultimate festive escapism,’ with a score composed and written by Miles Goodman and Paul Williams. The Muppets Christmas Carol has become a family festive classic that sees The Muppets act out Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, where Scrooge is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future and shown the error of his selfish ways.
No Shadow Between Thighs: a Ridykeulous Triple Bill

Exploring ‘Inspirers, conspirators and collaborators of Ridykeulous,’ this triple bill delves through classic, cult and unknown Queer Cinema to accompany Nottingham Contemporary’s current exhibit Ridykes’ Cavern of Fine Inverted Wines and Devient Videos. They’ll be showing The Trip by Eileen Myles, The Nagel Incident by Steve Hall & Cathee Wilkins and Community Action Center by A.K. Burns + A.L. Steiner.
