The British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS) is hosting a series of roadshows across the country to provide information, advice and encouragement to those already running film societies, pop up screenings and community cinemas, as well as those who are considering setting one up. On Monday 26 May, they will be at Broadway Cinema.
Aimed at those in Nottinghamshire, as well as the surrounding counties, the roadshow will contain advice, support and invaluable tips to help you get started or develop what you're already doing. They will also help you strengthen your links to each other and offer advice on how to set up peer-to-peer networks.
There will be community cinema experts, people already running successful film societies and pop up screenings, and organisations that can offer you support. Below is a handy guide to what will be happening on the day.
1.00pm - Registration, networking and tea and coffee (Mezzanine Bar)

We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
