LeftLion are proud to announce theFat digester line-up for  our second  night of local live entertainment, taking place on Friday 27th August 2004 at the Malt Cross.

In our continuing quest to promote the best talent on the local scene, we bring you a triple whammy of local bands with Fat Digester, Left of the Dealer and Citypinx

Fat Digester (above right) are a ten-piece Jazz/Funk/Dub collective of musicians, singers, rappers and dancers living in and around the Nottingham area. With a radical approach to fusing and blending their influences, the band strive to unite people 'on the one' in order to promote a dance utopia and an overall culture of funk!

Left of the Dealer offer a full acoustic experience. Well known around the city, many think it's only a matter of time before this soulful acoustic crew are signed.

Citypinx are female singer/songwriters Mim and Sayda. Their distinctive use of piano and vocals successfully combines elements of soul, blues and jazz to create a unique vibe.

Taking care of the decks on the night will be the trusty latin beats of Sonitus duo Yemi Akinpelumi and El Razon.

See you there innit!

Entrance is free, Doors 7.30-11pm. Music begins at 8pm

We have a favour to ask

LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
