Come October, the most notorious, and arguably best loved, multi-venue charity music extravaganza that Nottingham has to offer returns after a three year break.

If you’re not familiar with Hockley Hustle, here’s the overview - Forty venues. Four hundred artists and bands. And loads of other community driven lark that makes for a proper good day out. All this for just ten squid, and that ten squid goes to charity. Win win.

The LeftLion stage this year will be at Broadway Cinema, and we’ve got a cracking lineup sorted for you lot. Here's what you can look forward to come 19 October.

Major Oak Chorus - Kicking things off we have something a bit different to the norm. We’ve gone and got Nottingham’s premier barbershop chorus to sing you some sweet retro melodies. No mics, just lots of voices coming together to make something truly special.

Ali Bonsai - This fella is pretty hard to describe, so we’ll let him do the talking - “Responsible music for underachievers" - Interpret that how you want, but you’re gonna have to pop on down to see just what he means.

Bella Diva - These four beautiful ladies will be dazzling you with their classic stylings. Comprised of two sopranos and two mezzo sopranos and a pianist, these girls hit some ridiculous notes (in a good way), that we’re sure will have you hooked.

Beth Frisby - Putting a bit of a dark twist on  the pop formula, Beth’s haunting vocals and catchy melodies bring something a bit different to the stage. Soft vocals, slick production and a knack for catchy hook too - Beth always puts on an ace performance.

Frazer Lowrie - The phrase “jack of all trades” was pretty much invented for Frazer. Somehow, besides being a producer, songwriter, artist manager, and more, he manages to find time to write some awesome jangly acoustic tunes with plenty of catchy melodies.

Nina Smith - Nina has been a favourite on the local circuit for a long time, and it’s no wonder why. With straight up pop hooks and incredibly soulful vocals, Nina slips between heartbreaking ballads and ridiculously catchy up-tempo numbers with ease. Pop perfection.

Rob Green - Some more straight up soul-pop comes from Rob Green. With a sickly sweet tone to his voice, bags of charisma, and more than a few catchy melodies, we’re sure Rob will have you dancing all over the place.

The Swiines - Having just come off tour supporting Nottingham’s wonderboy himself, Mr Jake Bugg, these fellas are bringing their swagger full rock ‘n’ roll to the Broadway, and we expect they'll be getting everyone going a little bit crazy.

Just James - When this lot take to the stage, the party is gonna get proper rowdy. With huge in your face dance-rap-pop (it’s hard to describe, okay?), we reckon they might get the Broadway shaking… don’t tell them we said that.

One Bomb - Fresh from smashing it at Glastonbury, this dance collective will be bringing their catchy bassy anthems to the Broadway for a midnight set that is sure to get pretty messy. There will be skanking, it will be sweaty, you will enjoy it.

Mr Switch - Closing the festival, we have the legend that is Mr Switch, current UK DMC DJ and three times DMC World Champ. Yeah, he’s that good. You have to see this guy in person to appreciate his incredible talent, and let’s just say, he’ll be closing the festival in the best way.

Hockley Hustle returns on 19 October 2014, multiple venues, £10. The LeftLion stage is at Broadway Cinema.
