La Pool Party

Nottingham party collective, Industry Productions are finishing the summer in style as they invite clubbers to an LA Pool Party at Snug on Bank Holiday Sunday.

According to Stu Blackley, Industry's main resident and co-promoter, their last event will prove difficult to beat.

"Our 2nd birthday party, Brazil back in May seemed to hit all the right notes. We had a live samba band, Rio Carnival dancer and gave out percussion instruments so everyone got involved. The atmosphere was fantastic and the club was packed."

After 2 years of successful events, Industry have been straight back to work spending the past few months drawing up the plans for Bank Holiday Sunday's LA Pool Party.

Industry co-promoter Julia is confident that this will be one to remember.

"We've had real fun with the LA Pool Party theme. It's a little bit tongue-in-cheek. We're hoping to emulate the sleazy, kitsch feel of LA. Think Beverly Hills, Hugh Hefner's mansion and the film Boogie Nights and you're on the right lines. The club will be split into two giving clubbers the option to turn up the heat on the dancefloor or cool off in our poolhouse downstairs complete with sunloungers!"

The night is sponsored by Nottingham's Senoritas Table Dancing Club, who will be providing bikini-clad poolside dancers for the night.

"The dancefloor is always the best place to be at Industry parties, with the addition of our poolside dancers, I'm expecting temperatures to go through the roof." says Stuart.

Dresscode is another important part of Industry's event. Although strictly optional, many Industry fans make a real effort. For Sunday it's pornstars and pimps.

"In LA anything goes. I expect many girls will work bikini tops into their outfit. I'd encourage everyone to have some fun with this one. How often do you get the chance to wear hotpants to a club and get away with it?"
