Adelphia play Macmillan Fest 2014 - Photo by Cara Jade Photography
How much are you looking forward to playing Macmillan Festival?
Nick: We played Macmillan festival last year on the Acoustic Stage, which was pretty sweet, but we're now even more excited to play main stage this year. This is all for a good cause, so performing our music while raising money for charity is a double win.
Have you got anything special planned for the show?
Rik: We have a few surprises up our sleeve for the set, it's always the intention for us to make hometown shows special because this is where it began and where the foundations of the support has come from. Hopefully everyone will like what we have planned.
Is Macmillan a charity that is close to you? Or are you just happy to raise some money for a good cause?
Rik: I think Macmillan and cancer charities are close to pretty much everyone's hearts because it's something that affects so many people globally in one way or another, and we fully support awareness/aid for Macmillan and have done for years through the great fundraisers they put on.

What other bands are you looking forward to seeing at the festival?
Nick: This year a lot of our friends are playing around the different stages for example - Arthur Walwin and The Inside Is Live, so we want to make sure we check both of their sets out. So much talent is playing this year so it's looking to be a good'un.
I hear you are searching for someone to play rhythm guitar and be a permanent 5th member. How's the search going?
Nick: We're in the process of auditioning one or two guitarists, though we are still open minded to finding the perfect person for this position. So if you're reading this and you're interested then drop us an email: Adelphiaband@gmail.com
If you had to describe Adelphia using just 5 words what would they be?
Nick: “Smooth Toned Melodic Alternative Rock”
Not only will there be tonnes of live music but you can enjoy a delicious Carribbean BBQ in the outdoor area from 3CZ.
As well as buying a ticket, there will be other ways to donate on the day such as a raffle and a chance to sponsor the promoter get a Macmillan Fest logo tattooed on his ass. That’s right, Kris Davis (Head Promoter at IKE Productions) has vowed to reveal the tattoo at the festival… Good effort Kris - That’s gotta be worth a few quid. Click here to sponsor him.

We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
