Je M’Appelle Hmmm...: Agnes B’s debut feature as writer and director, after a lot of Producer work, is about 12-year-old run away Céline, who leaves behind an abusive father, an absent mother and a grandmother too naive to imagine what is going on. She meets Peter, a Scottish truck driver, and they embark on a surprising road trip. Céline experiences her first true moments of childhood with lightness and trust, and a new friend offering her a chance to finally have a normal life. Friday 25 April 2014 at 5.40pm. Buy Tickets.
Venus In Fur: Thomas Novachek is struggling to cast the lead in his theatrical production of the notorious novella Venus in Fur. As if on cue, the abrasive and brash Vanda appears at the auditions. With the play already memorised and an unnerving way of completely inhabiting the dominatrix role, Vanda casts an intoxicating spell on Thomas that spirals into a power play beyond the stage. Based on David Ives play, Roman Polanski directs with Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric in the lead roles. Sunday 27 April 2014 at 5.45pm. Buy Tickets.
