This local film is hoping for a bit of help from you, via Indiegogo

The Captain is a horror/comedy about the relationship between a Mother (Beth) and her son (Ken). The story is shown through the very different perspectives of both characters. One side is the manic, destructive and disruptive energy at the bar; the other a quiet and calm corner that Ken plays in.

"I wanted to write a story that challenges the bleak quality of many English films; playing into it and also pointing fun at it. Many film makers and audiences think that the only identity we have is to be bleak, gritty or dry. They think that's all England is,” says Vaughn Teufel. “At the same time as embracing these qualities in British Drama and working with what's established, I’m also attempting to turn it on its head.”

The filmmakers need to raise £1300 to help pay for casting, catering, transport, special effects, props, location, post-production, and distribution. Perks on offer, include signed posters, customised Ken dolls, and I’m Not From London goodies.
