After a five-year absence, our literary podcast is back in association with NGDigital and UNESCO City of Literature

After a five year absence our literary podcast WriteLion is back and it's blossomed into an hour-long radio show. Our Literature Editor James Walker has a natter with Adrian Reynolds about his varied life as a freelance writer. This includes a recently successful kickstarter project to hep fund a film and how he's now using his experience of the creative industries to offer mentoring sessions.

David Belbin, Chair of Nottingham's UNESCO City of Literature team, shares advice on writing a crime serial and switching publishers in the process. He also reads from The Great Deception, the third of his Bone and Cane serial. Chris Mcloughlin is our resident audio poet and has a chat with a fellow member of Mouthy Poets

We have a favour to ask

LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
