After being made a UNESCO City of Literature, last month we thought we'd fire back up our literary podcast after a five-year absence. Thanks to NGDigital and our Literature Editor James Walker, we've got many a treat for your tabs in this, the second podcast of the year. First up, Christopher Phelps talks about his co-written, political book Radicals in America, that looks at the history of left-wing movements – we recently reviewed it.
Later in the podcast, urban poet Miggy Angel gives us some prose poetry in the form of Kiss of Death, and talks about his weekly creative writing workshop for people suffering from drug and alcohol abuse. Lastly, hosted by Chris McLoughlin, we've got poetry from three of Nottingham's Mouthy Poets – Beccy Shore, Patrick Spring, and Bridie Squires.
We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
