Beeston Tales presents Spirit House

Sometimes hearing a story is tedious and repetitive especially if someone you don't want to listen to is telling it to you and we’ve all been there. However, not in this case. Polly Tisdall is a former Young Storyteller of the Year, a theatre maker and an adventurer. Siphai Thammavong is a traditional storyteller living and working in Laos. With the help of Arts Council England, The British Council and Garavek Storytelling Theatre, Laos, these two have worked to compose a show that weaves their styles, their talents and their tales. Get down to the White Lion in Beeston town and witness an unfolding weave of folk tales from the east and west of the world. Buy advance tickets from the link below or just pay on the door. There’s also an extra special "Tales and Tapas" ticket from The White Lion that gets you three tapas choices and the evening of storytelling for just £12. Absolute bargain.

Wednesday 13 September, 10am, £5 - £12, White Lion Beeston

Noonan has taken a lot of unexpected directions and claims that his newest project, Memorable Sticks, is a reflection of how the drummer/composer see’s himself, ‘a modern-day sonic griot’. Head on down and witness the spirit of travelling storytellers  through Noonan and his support band’s very eyes.
