Poetry is Dead Good

Shoe and Tell: Exhibition by Naomi Braithwaite
As part of Being Human Festival, Dr Naomi Braithwaite is hosting a two-day exhibition alongside Nottingham Writers’ Studio, to look at the complexity of identity in teenagers, particularly as they move into adulthood. In a collection of photographs, the NTU senior lecturer uses shoes to paint the picture. Intrigued? Us too.

It’s been seventy years since the Partition of India, and this week there’s a chance to explore the lessons to be learned from the historic event. In a lecture that looks at post-traumatic growth, Lina Mookerjee is delivering a lecture that uses her personal stories coupled with theoretical ideas, to give context to understanding.
