Plates Presents Make Me

This one’s gonna be sweaty. For their first groove of 2018, the folk at Plates Presents are proper buzzing to welcome Rupes and Nic Baird - the top dogs at London’s electro night Make Me - to the citeh. Along with Plate’s DJ’s Nick and Kate, they’ll be teking over the Chameleon for night of electronic rhythms from melodic four to the floor to electro galore… whatever the bleddy hell that means. A fiver online or eight quid on the door, you know the right thing ta do; get tix quick.

Bearfoot Beware

These DIY Punk lads from Leeds have finally announced their spring UK tour, which includes a date in our fair Hoodtown. On March 16, the trio released their new album, Sea Magnolia, and were so bleddy excited that they just couldn’t wait to get out on the road to play their new mix of alternative, moody tunes. They’ll be plenty of music shenanigans going dahn on the night, as they’ve also roped in the help of three support acts; Pre-Birds, Too Piste and Them Are They. Wicked.

I’m Not From London Presents: Whiskey Stain to the Fox & Grapes

Everyone’s favourite boys have organised a night full of music at the ‘Lions new local. Back in the day, the Fox & Grapes were the place ta be when it came to finding the next best thing on the Notts music scene, and now the place has reopened and been returned to its former glory, it’s good to see the Castle Rock pub get back into the swing of things. INFL have lined up Stacey McMullen and The Girl and The Stone to play a few tunes before two piece powerhouse Whiskey Stain take to the stage and blow our socks off with their bluesy, bass drenched stompers. We can’t wait.

ACT Italy Art & Photography Exhibition

Listen up, kids. After a month of proudly showing off the artistic connections between Beeston, Notts and Italy, the ACT exhibition is closing up shop next Saturday. But we don’t want you lot to miss out, so we’re sounding the final warning horn now; you’ve got a week left. Inspired by the visual art of Italy’s Roberto Alborghetti, you can browse photography from Venis and Tuscany, check out original artworks from around Italy and gawp at prints of female Italian icons.  Get down there. Pronto.
Closes on Saturday 31 March, 10am - 4pm, free, The Hive in Beeston, event link
