Argentine Tango
The Orange Tree have got some new ideas when it comes to gerrin you lot moving and shaking. From this Monday onward, they'll be running beginners and improvers classes, where you can get to grips with the basics or spice up your skill. Set to contemporary music such as neo, alt and neuevo, these classes will teach you all yer need to know to enjoy dancing the Argentine Tango with friends, family or loved ones. Bringing a partner is optional, but yerve gorra mek sure you're wearing leather or smooth soled shoes, as rubber soles just dont work, duck. Failing that, stick on a pair of thick socks and you'll be flying.

Sherwood Gin Festival
There’s no better way to spend yer day off then getting absolutely sloshed on mothers ruin. Now that Sherwood’s trying it’s best to be Hoodtown’s answer to Shoreditch - Sherditch, if you will - they’ve started putting on proper trendy events which are bound to please the masses. Get those feet ta Sherwood United Reformed Church and sample some weird and wonderful gins, wines, beers and spirits, and get inspired at their Cocktail master class. They’ll be live music, local arts and crafts and some nosh supplied by Johnny Pusztai, an award winning Nottsw butcher. Happeh drinking.

Cilla: The Musical
From an ordinary girl from Liverpool who occasionally hung out with John Lennon, to the face of the Brit-Pop music scene, our Cilla had a rollercoaster life. Cilla: The Musical is a heart-warming adaptation of the critically acclaimed ITV television series that went down a treat with the British public, telling the story of one of the UK’s most loved entertainers. It’s got the ultimate sixities soundtrack, including loads of Cilla’s hits and songs from The Beatles, Mamas and Papas and more. You’ll see Corrie’s Andrew Lancal in the role of Brian Epstein and new girl Kara Lily Hayworth tekkin on the role of Cilla. Apparently, executive producer and Cilla’s son, Robert Willis, said he knew Kara was the girl his mam would have wanted. Ain’t that nice.

Pixelheads: Getting Started with Scratch
If yer interested in learning programming, you won’t want to miss out on this. This three hour workshop will show you how to get to grips with Scratch, a visual programming language that allows you to easily create playable games. You’ll design and write your own script, create characters and experiment with motion, looks, sound, data and all the other stuff and bits. No previous experience is needed, just come along armed with ideas and enthusiasm. Nice one.

Music Production Workshop
Rough Trade are right good’uns. Always doing all they can to encourage the next generation of musicians, Djs and that lot to follow their dreams and try and mek a go of it in this world. Continuing their stream of workshops is a session featuring Ableton Certified Trainer, Simon Lyon. He’ll be deconstructing the workflow of new Manchester artist, INTI, talking your lot through how the fella goes about making a tune using Live 10 and Push. Our pals at Synthetic Audio will be providing some gear so yer can have a play around with Ableton Live, and the whole shebang will finish at 9pm after a Q&A session. Go on youf, create.
