Winner winner, gin for dinner.
Gincident
Let’s start off with the obvious. If gin’s in the name, then gin’s clearly the game. They boast a huuuge selection, too many to list, so this could well be the best place for you to find yer ginny soulmate. The bar staff are super chatty and know their stuff when it comes to the good stuff; if you’re a complete novice to gin, they’ll be able to choose something that tickles your tastebuds, and if you’re clued up on the bev, but looking for something a bit different, they’ll be able to knock up something snazzy.
The Parlour
The home of gin infusion… Fancy, we know. But it’s really cool, we promise. Your gin can be infused with any one of these wacky and wonderful pairings we never would have dreamt of, from Earl Grey, to Gingerbread, to Lemon Drizzle. And with a £4 single and a £7 double, they’re not even off-the-chart expensive. The cocktails are gorgeous and the interior has sort of a strange combo of edgy yet antique vibe? But we’re digging it. And with outside seating, it’s an ideal option when it gets hot.
The Lost Caves
Okay, so the whole point is they’re meant to be lost, so we can’t tell you exactly where they are, but we can tell you they’re around the Lost Property Bar and the George Hotel. When you get there, shuffle about looking lost and maybe someone will slyly point you in the right direction. But let’s be real, who don’t want a bit of an experience with their gin drinking like, say, drinking underground? Wrap up a bit warmer for this one and wave a fond farewell to the summer sun as you journey down into an unforgettable evening of sophisticated seshing.
The Botanist
You know a bar means business when one of the online menus is The Gin List. With categories like floral, citrus, spicy and herbaceous, there’s something to tantalise even your pickiest mate. The lack of prices on the online menu, though, might not bode well to your lot who clutch your purse strings. But boasting both gin and cocktail masterclasses, this place may have the edge in terms of novelty. If you get yourselves on one of those, you’ll be able to impress with your swanky drink-making at your next party.
GinSecco
This bar boasts views of the Nottingham skyline as well as its sixty different types of gin… yeah, it’ll take a while to taste ‘em all. As well as all the wild flavours, they do stock quality local gins such as Redsmith Distillery's London Dry Gin, which is made in Sneinton. With its Art Deco style pink and gold decor and proper posh furniture, it’s just screaming for you to post it on the gram. With a bit o’ bubbly as well, this one’s set to be high-end, so maybe more suited to pay day, or if you’re just wanting to treat yo self.
