Nothing says Christmas like singing carols and drinking booze, and you can head down to the Malt Cross this Monday for a night of both. The entrance fee is only £1, and all money made from the event will go towards the YMCA hostel’s Christmas dinner. Mince pies and mulled wine will also be available, making it a night full of festive cheer.

Known for her experimental rap style, The British-Nigerian artist Little Simz is headed to Rock City this Monday. The show follows the release of her 2021 album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, which received critical acclaim, reaching number one on the UK Independent Albums chart and the UK R&B Albums chart.
Jason Manford’s Christmas Concert

After missing last Christmas, Jason Manford is making up for it this year with his festive comedy tour. Joined by pianist Joe Stilgoe, the event promises to include all your favourite festive songs, as well as providing a night of laughter.

Veering away from the Christmas direction, why not spend your Wednesday at Rock City seeing Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs? Alongside having a difficult name to remember, the band also have some great music, including their latest 2021 single Hot Stuff. Described by The Guardian as ‘accessible metal’, the band walk the line between rock and metal sounds.
Nottingham Panther vs Guilford Flames

You can always tell when a Panther’s game is on by the mass of fans that appear in the city centre, turning Nottingham into a blur of yellow jerseys as they head towards the the game. And rightly so, with a team as iconic as the Nottingham Panthers, it’s not surprising that the fan base is so loyal. This Saturday you can catch them as they take on the Guildford Flames, at their usual spot, the Motorpoint Arena.
