Pint of Science
When:
Monday 9 to Friday 13 May
Where:
Various
How much:
£5 per event

Bringing together two of the greatest phenomena on Planet Earth - science and beer - Pint of Science will bring some of the most fascinating talks and activities to pubs, cafes and community halls across Nottingham this week. With individual events ranging from an exploration of workout ‘highs’ at The Waterfront to investigations into superbacteria at the Canal House, this is a great chance to kick back, grab a cold one and learn something new - a perfect combination, we reckon.

First Touch
When:
Monday 9 May to Saturday 21 May
Where:
Nottingham Playhouse
How much:
£8.50-£32.50

Written by rising talent Nathaniel Price (BBC’s Noughts and Crosses and Sky’s Tin Star) and directed by Jeff James, this powerful new play is inspired by the recent abuse scandals that have plagued the football industry. Starring the Television Workshop’s Chloe Oxley and Taiden Fairall, and taking place in one of our city’s finest venues, this is a proper Notts production that is bound to pack a punch.
