Southwell Music Festival
When: Wednesday 24 August – Monday 29 August
Where: Southwell Minster

Southwell Music Festival is back with its first full-scale festival in three years. There will be over forty live events across the town over the six-day period, and there will also the opportunity for local musicians to take part, whether that’s performing at a free Fringe event or joining together at the ever popular Come and Sing.

Arboretum Beer Festival
When: Friday 26 August – Saturday 27 August
Where: Arboretum
How much: £10 - £15

The famous Arboretum Beer Festival returns to Nottingham for 2022, with great real ales and craft beer, alongside amazing entertainment and live music, local street food from Buffalo Trace BBQ, The Pizza Box, The Snobby Butcher, and Squeaky Beaver, and lots of fun and games.

Nottinghamshire Day Festival
When: Saturday 27 August
Where: Sherwood Forest
How much: Free

Some of the county’s most talented and exciting young artists are set to take to the stage for the first-ever Nottinghamshire Day festival, which promises to revel in all things Notts, taking place near the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre in the heart of Robin Hood Country. Hosted and headlined by local soul and R&B star Rob Green, the line-up will include fifteen acts who all hail from Notts.

I’m Not From London presents an evening of live music at The Old Bus Depot, with performances from Nottingham-based five-piece Stuart Pearce, Leeds-based band The Shakamoto Investigation, and Nottingham’s very own Pretty Windows. Tickets can be pre-booked online or purchased on the door.

The Foolhardy Folk Festival
When: Sunday 28 August
Where: Arboretum Bandstand
How much: £25

Cult folk hero and festival veteran Beans on Toast curates a day of life-affirming folk music in Nottingham city centre's beautiful park, with some of the UK's most exciting acts playing stripped back sets from the Arboretum's bandstand. It'll be a family-friendly event filled with brilliant music, good company, tasty food, cold drinks, and warm sunshine in a truly beautiful setting.

Concrete Rose and Reggae Takeover DJs
When: Saturday 27 August, 7.30pm 
Where: Bierkeller
How much: Free

Bierkeller are hosting a free gig with well-loved local band Concrete Rose as part of their carnival weekender - which will also feature food specials and, of course, drinks. Dance on into the evening with the ineffable Reggae Takeover DJs on the decks.
