Ale’Up Nottingham

There are seven trails for you to follow around Nottingham city centre on It’s in Nottingham’s exploration of our local ale establishments, with seven limited edition badges to collect when you complete each one. Pick up a free trail map from Nottingham Tourism Centre, Brew Cavern, or any of the participating venues, buy an ale (halfs are allowed) at each stop on your trail, ask for a stamp, and pop back to the tourism centre for your prize.
Rebirth of Cool
When: Mon 5 June, 9pm

Any free event is worthy of your attention, but a night of banging indie, hip hop and disco tunes at one of our city’s finest venues? That’s worthy of your applause. If you want to feel cool once more, and take a trip back to the good ol’ days, hit up this Pelham Street joint from 9pm and thank us later.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane

You think that Neil Gaiman guy’s stuff is good in word form? Try checking it out at the theatre, mate. Directed by the one and only Katy Rudd, this stage adaptation of The Ocean at the End of the Lane promises some incredible fantasy storytelling with some even more incredible production design. Trust us, it'll be magic.
We Need New Names

Nottingham Playhouse is well-known for its ability to attract the most thought-provoking, powerful shows from across the country - and We Need New Names is no exception. Following ten-year-old Darling and her four friends as they realise the United States isn’t the utopia they thought it was, this coming-of-age story is full of exuberance, humour and humanity.
Base 51 Colour Run
When: Sat 10 June, 9.30am
Where: YMCA Youth and Community Centre

Look, none of us enjoy running - but when it’s for a good cause, you power through. And when it’s for as good a cause as Base 51, you power through even harder. A vital charity supporting young people across our county, this charity is well worthy of your support - so slip on your trainers, plaster a smile on your face, and run like the wind.
Em-Con 2023

Pop culture-crazed among us: this one's for you. Every year, some of the biggest names across the worlds of sci-fi, superheroes, music, and more take over the Motorpoint Arena for a celebration of all things entertainment. This year, you can meet up with the likes of Danny John-Jules and Bez, grab mad bits of merch, and just generally have a top bloody time. May the Force help you live long and prosper, fellow Whovians.
