Pick Of The Week (16)

WasteMan
Where: Nonsuch Studios
When: Saturday 15 July, 7:30pm
How much: £12

A bin man swaps steel-toed boots for stilettos to chase his dream of becoming a drag queen. This raucous one-person comedy play combines monologue, song and (of course) drag in a love letter to hard-working Northerners and gender euphoria, based on writer Joe Leather's real-life experiences working as a refuse loader through lockdown.

Pick Of The Week (13)

Date Night - The Debut Performance of Korean Street Toast
Where: Bunkers Hill Hockley
When: Saturday 15 July, 7:30pm
How much: Free

Made up of members of Sons of Itto and Office Goth, Korean Street Toast are playing their highly anticipated debut performance at Bunkers Hill on Saturday. Expect 90s grunge/Britpop vibes with witty lyrics and a touch of soaring stadium-esque guitar. You can check their music out beforehand on Spotify, including their most recent single Mad Love.

Pick Of The Week (9)

Beeston Skate Coaching Programme
Where: Beeston Recreation Ground
When: Sunday 16 July, 10am
How much: Free

A new series of free skateboard coaching events is coming to Beeston, offering creative activities for young people alongside learning confidence on a skateboard. You can learn to step on a board for the first time with Skate Nottingham's trained coaches, or learn to advance your tricks if you already have some experience. Skateboards and helmets will be available to borrow for those who don't already have them.
