Arboretum Beer Festival
When: Saturday 26 August
Where: Arboretum

The third edition of this festival is set to take place with several local and national brewers such as Brew York, Hollowstone, Liquid light and many more coming to the Arboretum. The festival will also feature street food from brands like Homeboys, Chilli Kitchen, Wholesome Junkies, Just-Ice and more. Those who are heading there for the day can also enjoy performances by The Outriders, Josie Beth, Jonny Olley along with entertainment such as Indie Bingo and the Eighties Things DJs.

Where: Wollaton Hall

If you are in the mood for an outdoor picnic accompanied by a good movie, Wollaton Hall is offering a selection of films to choose from including The Dark Knight Rises (they had to include this one, really, since it was filmed there), Top Gun: Maverick, Pretty Woman and the biggest hit of this summer: Barbie. They also have food and drink available, so make sure to remember to bring your blankets for a cosy and relaxing evening watching an iconic film.

Southwell Music Festival
When: Friday 25 - Monday 28 August

Music lovers in town need to mark their calendars as the ninth edition of this festival is set to take place in Southwell, with a headline piano recital from Janeba Kanneh-Mason, Handel’s Dixit Donminus and Coronation Anthems, and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Classical, folk and jazz events will take place across the town, along with opportunities for local musicians to perform at a free Fringe event or join the Come and Sing segment.

FilBrit Festival

Where: Forest Fields, Gregory Boulevard

Toploader will be performing all of their biggest hits when they headline the festival on the Saturday, following a performance from local lads The Public Eye, who are not to be missed. And then the next day, the fun continues: you’ll be able to catch Boyzlife (yes, that is a mixture of Boyzone and Westlife), Charlie Green & The 12 Piece Band, and more. Fans of alternative rock music, make sure to grab your tickets and head over for a memorable weekend in Forest Fields.
