The Drawing Dead: Zombie Life Drawing
Where:
The Angel Microbrewery
When: 25 May, 7pm
How much:
£10

You may have been to a life drawing class before, but we’ll put money on the fact that it didn’t involve zombies. Held in a haunted 17th century Chapel, a professional art tutor will guide you through a structured life drawing class with a terrifying twist. Remember to take some art materials with you!

Bearded Theory
Where:
Catton Hall, Derbyshire
When:
25 - 28 May
How much: £187.25

Yes, we know it’s in Derbyshire - I’m pretty sure I can hear some of you booing from here. We know that Nottingham offers plenty of great live music, but it’s acceptable to travel slightly out of bounds sometimes, especially for a festival. Headlined by Interpol, Primal Scream, and Pretenders, it’s well worth the trek.

With over 160 artists on the line-up, including Yard Act, Alvvays, The Murder Capital, and loads of local names you might recognise, too, it’s sure to be a day filled with brilliant live music – and lots of walking too, so we recommend you wear comfortable shoes!

Stewart Lee: Basic Lee
Where:
Nottingham Playhouse
When:
26 - 28 May
How much: £25 - £35

After a decade of ground-breaking high concept shows involving overarched interlinked narratives, massive sets and enormous comedy props, Stewart Lee enters the post-pandemic era in streamlined solo stand-up mode. One man, one microphone - and one microphone in the wings in case the one on stage breaks.
